बहुत दिनों बाद आज फिर से blog लिख रहा हूँ.... सोचता हूँ तो लगता है की हमारे बीच दूरिओं का होना कई बार हमारे संबंधों को और भी मजबूत बनाता है... कई बार ऐसा लगता है कि जैसे हम लोग व्यक्तिओं से नही बल्कि उन्हें लेकर जो हमारे मन में एक इमेज होती है उससे प्यार करते हैं... जब व्यक्ति हमारे पास होता है तो शायद उसके real personality और हमारे मन में बनी उसकी image के बीच के फासले हमें उस व्यक्ति के पास आने से रोक देते हैं.... और जब वो व्यक्ति हमारे पास नही होता और हम उससे महज phone या chat के जरिये ही मिल पाते हैं तो फिर से हम सिर्फ़ उस व्यक्ति के इमेज के साथ होते हैं और ख़ुद को उसके बेहद करीब पाते हैं... जिंदगी और उसके अजीब रंग .....

caste system - blame it on ourselves

Whenever I hear any discussion going on “caste system in India”, I am sure that there will be a lot of banging to Brahmins and Thakurs. Dalits, OBCs will be presented as the deprived sections and correctly so. There will be arguments about how these upper cast people ruled, and still ruling, the innocent, hard working SCs and STs without giving them any chance of a decent life. They made them untouchable. They barred them from getting education. They forced them for eternal slavery. And hence, dalits now deserve to be treated in “reverse discriminatory” way by reserving seats in schools, colleges, jobs, promotions, elections and every other place where a “competition” can exist.

But the problem is no one realizes that “Freedom is not free”. No country, no community, no group has ever got their independence without any “self willing” sacrifice. And I believe no one should get it without working hard for it. I am not aware of any “mass movement” of dalits against their suppression. I am not talking about one or two individuals, who fought for their rights but a movement where general public participated.

When we read about the independence movement of India, the first thing we read is the “reasons behind our failure”. Normally, we blamed ourselves for our loss of freedom. We say that we were divided, we were weak, and we were less developed. We blame ourselves for not understanding the British policy of “Divide and Rule”. But have we ever analyzed the reasons behind Brahmins supremacy. No, we don’t want to accept the facts. We just want someone to give a soft touch to our wounds. We are afraid of treatment, because that will show us our own faults. This behavior is very much similar to the behavior of a mother who when her child falls, tell her that it’s not her fault but the floor itself is bad.

If we really want to improve, we must know our own faults; take a lesson from it and then work hard in right direction with proper planning and intelligence.

काफी पहले तुलसीदास जी ने जो कहा था, वो शायद शाश्वत सत्य है। यही प्रकृति का एकमात्र सत्य है। इस बात जितनी जल्दी हम समझ लें उतना बेहतर होता है। हाल ही में राज ठाकरे ने मुम्बई में बसने वाले बिहारिओं और UP के लोगों के पहले धर्म का मजाक उडाया और फिर उनके मुम्बई में रहने के अधिकारों पर। हमारे नेता लोगों ने जो बोलना था वो बोला। ऐसा नही होना चाहिए, ये देश कि एकता के खिलाफ है , ऐसा करने वालों के साथ सख्त कारवाई कि जायेगी blah blah.... मीडिया को बैठे बिठाये ३-४ दिनों कि खुराक मिल गयी। वैसे भी डॉ अमित कुमार के पकडे जाने के बाद कोई मसाला बचा नही था...
पर यदि समस्याएँ बातों से समाप्त हो जाती तो शायद सारी दुनिया यशराज चोपडा कि मूवी से भी ज्यादा खूबसूरत होती। हल एक ही है... बिहार का विकास। और सवाल महज ईतना कि "मैं "इसमे क्या भूमिका अदा करूंगा?

why i loathe (or hate) Congress(I)?

I feel happy when i get the news of BJP winning elections in Gujrat and Himachal. I feel good when i see that at present, almost all northern Indian states are run by "BJP" or some other none-Congress(I) party.
I like BSP and Mayawati much more than Congress(I) or Sonia/Rahul Gandhi. The reasons are many but the most important reason is "Lack of any mass leader" in Congress and "Sycophancy at it's limit" in Congress(I). Today, not a single leader is there in Congress (Other than Shila dikshit) whom i think anyone in India can say that he/she is HIS/HER leader. कोई भी ऐसा नेता नही है जिसके साथ आप खुद को जोड के देख सकें। All the faces we see in Congress(I) are faces of persons, who themselves can't win a single election. They might be intellectuals or Lawyers but they are not leaders.
Sycophancy at it's extreme : When they better their performance in election even by 1 seat, the 100% credit goes to "Madam" but when they loose, it's lack of organisation and other factors but not there central leadership.
look at there "So called GEN-NEXT": Rahul Gandhi is leading the pack with people like "JyotiRaj Sindhiya, sachin piolt and similar leaders" . What are there qualities? their father/mother were leaders in Congress(I).
When i see Narendra Modi giving speech, i feel like a normal person, who has got a position because of his talent, and who has a fear to loose, if he does not perform. But when u see Sonia or Rahul Gandhi, it feels as if they have done a great "एहसान" over our poor soul. It's more than enough that they have left their comfortable home/villa for 1 or 2 days and we must repay there "kindness" by voting for them in election. What else we want from these "Deities" ? Do we want them to travel on the same road where normal Indian travels? Do we want them to know their party workers by name or even by face? How cruel we are?
The third thing which i really hate about Congress, is the lack of respect for their own leaders whose surname does not carry a tag "GANDHI". When was the last time u heard about any development project on the name of "PV NARSIMHA RAO" or "Lal Bahadur Shastri". And as far my personal opinion is concerned, i think "Narsimha Rao" has done much more for India than Any other congress prime minister other than "Nehru". why to talk about past when we have present example. Whenever there is any good scheme it's Sonia ji's suggestion or Rahul baba's idea. I think there must be a sizeable % of Indians who believe that "Sonia" is THE prime minister. I think, Manmohan singh family also might be one of them :)....
The list is endless. but for now, i am happy that it's going to the place where it should go. In the pages of history.

अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतन्त्रता

पिछले कुछ दिनों में ना जाने कितनी बार "Freedom of expression" पर होने वाली बहसों को देखने और सुनने का मौका मिला। हमेशा ही २ तरह के view देखने को मिला । एक जो हर हाल में "Freedom of expression" का पक्षधर है और दूसरा चाहता है कि स्वंत्रता जिम्मेदारी के साथ ही आती है। आपके लिखने या बोलने से यदि किसी ग्रुप की धार्मिक या ऐसी ही कोई और भावना को ठेस पहुंचती है , तो फिर आपको ऐसा नही लिखना चाहिए। पहले तबके में ज्यादातर ऐसे लोग थे जो समाज में लेखक या "intellectual" और "Libreal view" रखने वाले माने जाते हैं। दुसरे तबके में ज्यादातर धर्म या जाति के ठेकेदार type के लोग बैठे मिले।
हर मुद्दे कि तरह इस बार भी मेरे मन में कुछ प्रश्न बने रह गए। मैं जानना चाहता था कि यदि कोई लेखक कोई किताब लिखे और "Publisher" उसके लेख में कुछ change करने को कहता हो तो कितने लेखक ऐसे हैं जो अपने "Freedom of expression" के अधिकार को लेकर लड़ना पसंद करते हैं? खैर, ये उनकी personal choice है।
मैं साथ ही सोच रहा था कि न जाने कितने लेखों में , कितने फिल्मों में ठाकुरों और ब्राह्मणों के खिलाफ कितनी सारी बातें बोली जाती हैं , पर हाल ही में "आजा नाच ले " में जब "मोची " शब्द का इस्तेमाल हुआ तो UP और "Punjab " की सरकारों ने इस पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया और इन शब्दों के हटाने पर ही प्रतिबंध भी हटा। कंहा थे "Freedom of expression" के ठेकेदार ?
पर एक सवाल ये भी है की क्या भावनाएं सामुहिक होती है? जब कोई व्यक्ति यह कहता है कि किसी पेंटिंग से हिन्दुओं की धार्मिक भावना को चोट पहूँची है तो किन हिन्दुओं कि बात कर रहा है वो? न जाने कितने हिन्दू हैं जो भगवान राम में आस्था नही रखते , कितने ऐसे हैं जो निर्गुण ब्रह्म के उपासक हैं, और कई ऐसे भी हैं जो अपने धर्म कि निरंतर नई व्याख्या चाहते हैं। फिर किसने उन लोगों को, जो इसका विरोध कर रहे हैं , में तमाम हिन्दुओं का ठेका सौंप दिया है?

मैं आज तक कभी भी ये समझ नही पाया कि एक पत्रकार का क्या काम है? पहले मुझे लगता था कि उनका काम तथ्यों को जनता के सामने रखना होता है। यदि कोई घटना/दुर्घटना हुई है तो वो उसके बारे में लोगों को बताता है। पर धीरे धीरे मुझे पता चला कि उनका काम महज किसी घटना के बारे में बताना ही नही बल्कि निष्कर्ष निकालना भी उन्ही का काम है। यदि कोई murder हुआ है, तो ये बताना पत्रकार का काम है कि murder किसने किया है? किसी अदालत, पुलिस, गवाह की कोई जरूरत नही है। बाद में यदि वो व्यक्ति अदालत के द्वारा बरी कर दिया जाता है, फिर...... शायद अदालत ही दोषी है ......
कुछ और भी काम हैं पत्रकारों के, जैसे कि, ये ख्याल रखना कि संजय दत्त को जेल में खाने को क्या मिला ? सलमान खान से जेल में मिलने जब कैटरिना कैफ आयीं तो उन्होने क्या पहना था? पूछिये तो वही जबाब जो एकता कपूर देती हैं, वे लोग तो वही दिखा रहे हैं जो जनता देखना चाहती है,..... पर ये काम पहले किसी और ग्रुप का नही था?
हर इलेक्शन के पहले ये लोग एक game खेलते हैं, "EXIT POLL".... हर साल इनका %error of margin करीब १० या २० के आसपास होता है और हर बार ये उसे मात भी दे देते हैं। फिर भी, ये इस प्रथा को साल दर साल ढोए जा रहे हैं... और आश्चर्य होता है कि उसे "SCIENTIFIC" करार देते हैं।
आजकल एक और नया काम खोजा है, पत्रकार भाइयों ने, दूसरी दुनिया के सचाइयों को हमारे समक्ष रखने का। ये बताते हैं कि आत्माओं से कैसे मिला जा सकता है? भूत और प्रेत में क्या अंतर है? चुडैल और प्रेत में कौन हमारा ज्यादा बड़ा दुश्मन/दोस्त है? और अब तो स्वर्ग का रास्ता भी दिखा रहे हैं..... धन्यवाद.....
पर इन सबसे बड़ी और महत्वपूर्ण जिमेदारी जो इन लोगों ने अपने नाजुक कन्धों पर उठा रखी है, वो है, नैतिकता। ऐसा लगता है कि नैतिकता आज के जमाने में सिमट कर बस इन्हें के दामन में रह गयी है। तभी तो हर छोटी बड़ी बात पर ये लोग क्या मुख्यमंत्री और क्या प्रधानमंत्री सभी को नैतिकता की सिख दे बैठते हैं। क्या करना चाहिए, कैसे करना चाहिए, सब कुछ इन्हें पता होता है। मुझे तो लगता है देश की सत्ता अब इन्हीं लोगों के हाथों में सौंप देनी चाहिए और फिर यकीं मानिए हमारी सारी समस्या देखते देखते गायब हो जायेगी।

Yesterday while watching some program on NDTV, Jaideep sahni(?) (Chack de director) told "Now a days, bigger home loan u have, more successful you are .... that's how people are defining success". I could not agree more with him on this issue.
Buying a house in some metro cities has become one of the most important "social status symbol" now a days. The kind of return(increased value) property prices has seen in most of these areas makes this decision looks very smart also.
What's my take on this? I have decided that i would never buy a house in any Indian Metro city. The reason is simple. I have a good and big enough house in my hometown and also in my village. And these are the places i would love/like to spend my life after retirement. So, it does not make any sense for me to buy a house to live in metro. I never like the concept of "Flat" and don't have enough money to buy a house is another reason. As far the investment is concerned there are many other ways to do so.
This also started a "comparison" thought process in my mind about better life standard. I was thinking that whether my life is better than my father's life? My father is in gov. job. Last time when i went to my village with him, many people came to him ...said nameste or pranam , talked about some trivial issues.... He earns a respect among his own people. Will i ever get that while working in an MNC ? I don't think so. He was able to send me to a good school and give a decent education. He has a good enough house and more financial assurance than me. He does not know how to e-mail but he knows many more people personally than i can ever imagine to know. More than all these, he lives at a place which he thinks as his own.
I have a desire to live with all of my family members (I have a joint family). But it's not possible if i continue working in an MNC in some part of India. But right now, i can't afford to do anything else. Let's see what future holds!!!!

मोदी vs लालू

गोधरा के अलावे मुझे नही पता कि मोदी ने कौन सा ऐसा जुर्म किया है जिसके चलते रविश भाई को वो इतने ज्यादा नापसंद है। वैसे, मुझे नही पता कि लालू और मोदी मे से किसने ज्यादा बेकसूर लोगों को मारा है। हर साल बिहार मे बाढ़ के चलते कम से कम १००० लोग मारे जाते हैं। १५ साल तक गद्दी पर रहने के बावजूद लालू ने इसका कोई हल नही निकाला। क्या ये नरसंहार नही है?
पिछले 4-5 सालों मे असम, जम्मू, पंजाब मे ना जाने कितने बिहारी मजदूर आतंकवाद कि भेंट चढ़ गए। क्या बिहार का आर्थिक रुप से पिछ्ड़ा होना इसका मूल कारण नही है? और क्या इसके लिए लालू दोषी नही हैं?
फिर क्योंकर communalism गरीबी से बेहतर option नही है? मैं communalism का समर्थक नही हूँ पर मैं ये मानता हूँ कि गरीबी और बेकार कानून व्यवस्था इससे कंही ज्यादा खतरनाक हैं।
जितने मुस्लिम मोदी के डर से गुजरात छोड कर कंही और जा बसें हैं उनसे ज्यादा (शायद कई गुना ) लोग बिहार कि गरीबी और दुर्व्यव्स्ता से ऊब कर और डर कर बिहार से बाहर हैं..... आप और हम खुद भी तो उन्ही लोगों मे से एक हैं.... दूसरों का दर्द तो आपको दिख रहा है जो कि अच्छी बात है पर अपने जख्मों को क्यों भूल रहें हैं?
किसे बुरा कंहू मैं ? और किसे चूनुं सापनाथ और नागनाथ मे से?

Moving in orbits

Somewhere i had read that there is a difference among Eastern and western philosopher regarding the concept of Time. Western thinkers feels that Time is linear where as Eastern philosophy believes, that it is circular. And that's why there is no such concept as Reincarnation in western beliefs but it has strong hold in eastern philosophy esp. Buddh's philosophy.
What do i think? I believe something kinda mixture of both. Normally our thoughts, and our life moves in an orbit and if we want to grow we have to take a linear jump to reach in other orbit. Something similar to electron's movement in an atom. They keep on moving in the same orbit unless charged or excited and then move to other orbit.
And that's why i think that "Courage" is the most important virtue.

Inhuman(?) face of Police

For last 2 days all the news channel are telecasting a news of inhuman treatment of mob and 2 policemen in Bhagalpur to a criminal. What they are showing is really makes one feel sad or sometimes fills your heart with disgust.
But there are some other aspects as well. First of all this is not a unique instance. I believe many of us has seen or heard about beating badly to any thief caught red handed.Also, The person involved was a criminal and he was not doing it for the first time. But the way media is projecting the whole issue looks like people are beating some saint person.
Also i feel bad about the heading of the news "Brutal Bihar". Just few days back, Nithari was exposed. Why didn't Ndtv made the headline as "Rapist and murderer NCR/Delhi/UP"? when bomb blast happens in Hyd, Why didn't they say "Terrorist AP/Hyd"?
If just one incidence makes whole Bihar Brutal then may i know a single place in the world which is not barbaric?
Just few years back, similar incidents (snatching of chains) used to happen a lot in my own colony in Patna. People esp. ladies were very much afraid and almost stopped wearing any kind of jewelry. When no one got caught for few months, the looters became so bold that they started doing it even in day time. And then a new sub-inspector got posted in our area. After getting the information about these incidences he started visiting the colony and beat people (esp. young) ,who were not from our colony and could not tell why they had come there, like anything. Sometime he would take them to police station but most of the time he would finish all "FIR,Mukadama, Sunwaayi, and Saja" by himself on the spot. No need to say that within 2 weeks all goons were gone. Now it's a long time i have about any such incidents. Should i shout/cry "faul" because that person didn't follow the "rule of law"?
No one should praise these kind of acts but also you should ask people of those area how and what they feel about the same incident?
And above all, If they feel so bad, why didn't he(the person/reporter who shot this video) try to save the guy? Why didn't he raised the question when this incident was taking place? Why didn't he went to the police man and told him what he was telling it afterwards? Was this not his duty? All duties are there to followed by policemen only.. you r there just to shoot and make masaala clip...

I always feel so awkward when i find that media slams police men when they do anything wrong. They will not let anyone sleep for many days But no one writes a single line when they are killed, brutally beaten by mob, naxalites or terrorists. For example, just few months back i was hearing a debate on NDTV about killing of Dogs in Banglore. I felt like killing all those useless fellows because it was the day when 21 policemen/CRPF Jawans were killed by Naxalites in Orissa. I don't know if by telecasting that debate they were trying to show that life of a mad dog is more important than a police man in India.

Rajdeep Sardesai's Jai Maharashtra ???

Just now i read the article written by Rajdeep Sardesai (Jai Maharashtra) . Rajdeep sardesai is one of the few journalist i love to hate. I always thought him very biased and through this article he has proven me right. Read these lines: "I must confess, my regional genes were riding high too at the prospect of a Maharashtrian lady occupying the highest constitutional post in the country". Is this anything else but senseless "Regionalism"? Feeling high, just because someone from your region is going to be the President? (Even if so much controversies are associated with her ). I don't understnad how same "Mr. Rajdeep" question about Castism and secularism from the leaders of India? How the hell "regionalism" is not worse than castism. Both of these are determined by your birth and you don't have any control over them. Even if you want it, there is no way to change it.
I am not a history student but i have a lot of interest in history. As far i know the only "some what" great ruler Maharashtra has produced is "Shivaji". I am saying some what, because if you compare him with Ashoka, Chandragupta Maurya, Akbar, or even Aurangjeb you would find that he ruled over a very small portion of India. I don't know any great Book written during his period, i have not read about any monument made by him which can be counted as great. Then what is their in history for Maharashtra to be proud of? I agree, that there present condition is better than many parts of India, But i think most of the contribution for making Mumbai the financial capital is done by non-Maharastian.
The most important contribution Maharastra/Mumbai has given and is visible is in the field of "Cricket". And the reason is well known to everyone.
I am not against Maharashtra, but i am against the baseless claims and shallow pride.

Kalaam तुझे सलाम !!!!

In every walk of life, some time a person comes, who change the meaning of a "position". Before TN Seshan, how many indians knew that Election Commision is such a powerful institution!! Similarly Before A.P.J. Abdual Kalaam, how many of us has debated over the post of President of India. But once Kalaam became the President. Now whosoever become the president, we expect that he/she must be of same credentials. He/she must be looked as neutral and independent as Mr. Kalaam is. And this is what, I believe, Kalaam's greatest achivment is. He has set a benchmark on which every other presidents will be measured.
Pratibha Patil - She is going to be the next President of India. India's first lady president. Few days back, very few people knew about her. And the first most obvious reaction after hearing her name was "who is she?" . Then slowly we came to know about her. Her political experience. And now i feel that she is much better choice than Shivraj Patil, Pranav Mukherjee or Shinde..... People are saying that she might not be very neutral and is loyal to Gandhi family. So, what about other three choices? are they any different? The other objection is, No one knows her. If "Fame" is the critera for the post of president then i think "Rakhi Sawant" can be better than most of our politicians. One more question is, She was not the "natural or first choice".. so?? Manmohan singh was also not the first/second/third or nth choice for the post of PM...why didn't we raise this question at that time?

Life in a Metro

Yesterday i watched the movie "Life in a metro". The direction of the movie was very nice, plot was quite interesting and acting was really good. Overall it was a nice story shown beautifully. But then that's what it was - a nice story. I don't think we can say it was a very true story or we should discuss that the things which were shown are quite common now a days in India. I don't agree with that. I have lived in Delhi and Chennai for more than 5 years in total but i don't think the things shown in the film is quite common. But then, if the things were so common, it will be a subject of "news channel" and not a movie.
But now after saying, that after all it was a "STORY", let's think about it. In the movie, none of the character (other than Irfan khan) is satisfied with his/her life. That's good enough. (No sane person should be satisfied with his life;) ). But the problem is either they don't know why they are unsatisfied(KK Menon) or they are choosing the wrong means to achieve their dreams.
I was not quite happy with end of the film. I didn't want Shilpa to return to her husband who is not only unfaithful to her also not respects her. And he never realised that he was wrong.Why should you stay with a person who is nothing but a life sucker? and that too, when you might have a better choice. Also, it's more than 2 years of suffering.
One more thing was the way movie represents the call center life and easily available sex in the city. It seems anyone can sleep with anyone in the metro. We should understand that the people working in the call center are not "call-boys" or "call-girls" कि एक promotion पाने के लिए या महज कुछ increment के लिए हर कोई किसी के भी साथ सोने को तैयार है। साथ ही एक बात और कि is sex really so important or enjoyable कि आप अपनी पुरी बसी बसाई दुनिया, अपनी इज़्ज़त दांव पर लगाने को भी तैयार हैं? You are ready to loose your job, your family and the respect (if u have) just to sleep with someone?

राजनीति के अलावे जो बात अभयानंद जी को अखरी होगी वो मेरी समझ मे ये है कि उन्हें ये महसूस हुआ होगा कि आखिरकार उनकी मिहनत अंततः कोई खास मायने नही रखती है। यदि जो लड़के उनकी institute के product हैं वो भी मार्केट मे उतने ही बिकाऊ हैं जितने कि बाक़ी फिर क्या अंतर पड़ता है कि वँहा कौन पहूंचता है? I mean, कि input जाहे जो भी हो यदि output वही है तो क्या उनके द्वारा किया गया सारा प्रयत्न निरर्थक नही साबित हो जाएगा?
Normally हम लोग अपने परिवार के प्रति कृतज्ञ महसूस करते है, क्योंकि हमारा परिवार हमारे लिए सारी मुसीबतें उठाकर भी हमें पढाता लिखाता है और हमें वो सब कुछ हासिल करवाता है जिसके हम लायक हैं। सुपर ३० से निकलने वाले छात्र को समाज ने IIT पहूँचने मे काफी मदद कि है , पर यदि वे भी अपने समाज के प्रति वैसी ही भावना रखते हैं जैसा अन्य लोग फिर मुझे भी लगता है कि अभयानंद जी का संघर्ष अपने सही मुकाम पर नही पहूंच पाता। और ऐसा महसूस होने पर कोई भी व्यक्ति वही करेगा जो कि अभयानंद जी ने किया।
इसी लिए उन्होने ये suggest किया है कि IIT मे morality/ethics का भी एक कोर्स होना चाहिए। साथ ही उन्होने कहा कि गरीबों कि मदद के लिए वो कोई और मार्ग खोजेंगे।
कई बार इसलिये मैं भी अपने आप को दोषी मानता हूँ , बिहार ने मुझे मौका दिया कि मैं नेतरहाट / Science college जैसे school में पढ़ सकूं वो भी लगभग फ्री, और आज जब मैं इस काबिल हूँ कि उसके लिए कुछ कर सकूं तो महज अपने और अपने परिवार कि भलाई और भविष्य के अलावे मैं कुछ भी नही करता। निश्चित रुप से अपने और अपने परिवार के प्रति मेरी जिम्मेवारी है , पर क्या ये जिम्मेवारी मेरी सम्पूर्ण जिम्मेवारी है?

closure of 'Super-30'

Day before yesterday, when i got the news that 'Super 30' is going to close from this year, i am feeling very bad. Not only because many good but economically weak student will be deprived of a nice institute for preparation of IIT but the reasons behind it. 3 of the students were lurred by some other institute, who claimed that these students were product of their "institution". It hurt Abhyanand ji and Anand sir deeply. And it is very obvious. You give everything free of cost, without any expectation to these students for 7 months and then they are ready to sell themself to some other institution. What these students will do once they will become more "sellable"? When you teach some students free you expect that since they owe their success to the society, they will fill responsible towards it. But if this is the way they are going to choose once they become successfull, what's the difference whosoever become a IITian. Ultimately all of them are going to have the same atttitude in life. So, i think that decision taken by Abhyanand ji, might be sad but he is right in his analysis.

हिंदी vs English Blogger

पिछले कुछ दिनों में मैंने कुछ हिंदी bloggers के कई blogs पढे। उनमें से अधिकांश काफी बढ़िया हैं। एक अंतर जो मैं हिंदी और इंग्लिश Blogging के बीच पाता हूँ कि इंग्लिश bloggers मे से अधिकांश लोग Blogging को diary की तरह इस्तेमाल करते हैं जबकि हिंदी के bloggers अपने आप को पत्रकार समझते हुए आये दिन हुए घटनाओं पर टिपण्णी करने के लिए या फिर अपनी कविता/ साहित्य प्रेम के लिए।
ऐसा क्यों है की अधिकांश हिंदी bloggers धुर हिंदुत्व और capitalism विरोधी होते हैं? हालांकि इनमे से अधिकांश इसी की कमाई खा रहे होते हैं। इनमें से सब के सब अपने पता नही किस सुनहरे अतीत की याद मे खोये दिखाई देते हैं , इन्हें अपने गावों में बिताये हुए सुनहरे दिन भुलाये नही भूलता और जो शहर इन्हें खाना, रहना और एक जिन्दगी दे रहा है वो कभी Concrete तो कभी निर्दयी प्रतीत होता है। यदि गांव इतने ही बेहतर और वँहा की जिंदगी इतनी ही शांत और मधुर थी तो आख़िर इन लोगों को वँहा वापिस जाने से रोक कौन रहा है?
मेरी समझ में इनमे से अधिकांश लोग खुद अपने विरोधी हैं, इन्हें आप कंही भी किसी भी परिस्थिति मे रखिये परेशान रहने, उदास रहने का बहाना खोज ही लेंगें। या फिर शायद ये हमेशा ही २ धरातल पर जीने वाले लोग हैं । एक वो जो इनकी वास्तविक दुनिया है, जो इन्हें रोजगार देती है, खाने को रोटी का इंतजाम करती है और दूसरी जो इनके बौद्धिक खुजाल को मिटाती है।
बेहतर हो यदि हमारी सोच और हमारे काम में एक सामंजस्य हो। हम वही बोलें जो हम सोच रहें हैं और वही करें जो हम बोल रहे हैं।

Fight for backwardness

India, i belive is the only country, where a whole community is fighting for their "backwardness". What an irony!!! Every one in this world is always told about feeling proud about himself, his group, his society and his nation. But in India, Gurjars are now claming that they are not "just backward" class but even below that. On the other hand , Meena are saying that they are only STs in Rajsthan. This is what reservation has done to our society. Fight for being called a backward community. And they want other community to "RESPECT" and treat them equally. On what basis? You yourself are claming that you are backward, how the hell you expect any equality in society? Why should i consider that you are equal to me? For what i would give you respect? For your incompetitvness?
They can fight with government, they can burn police stations, they can die for being called "STs" but they can't improve their own life. They are ready to die but not improve.
I have never come across any news where people have burnt police station for opening a school in their area, for non working hospital, for better roads but they can do it for "RESERVATION". Why can't they understand it's not the reservation but the access to quality education and health which will make them stronger as individual as well as a community. And also this is what goverment is there for.
God save this mentality!!!!

INDIA vs भारत

अपने भाषण मे प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह कहते हैं कि अमीरों को अपनी सम्पति का "Vulgar display " नही करना चाहिए ताकि देश के आम आदमी को ये ना पता चले कि भारत में कुछ ऐसे भी लोग हैं जो आमिर हैं, खुश हैं। उन्हें ये महसूस हो कि पुरे देश कि हालत उन्हीं कि तरह है ताकि उनका ग़ुस्सा या frustation अगले चुनाव में कॉंग्रेस के खिलाफ ना निकले।
Human Psychology भी अजीब ही है। हामारे सुख और दुःख चाहे कितने भी व्यक्तिगत प्रतीत होते हों, सच्चाई यही है कि ये अधिकांश situation में comparative ही होते हैं। हमारा बड़ा से बड़ा दुःख भी उतना बड़ा नही लगता यदि हमारा पडोसी भी उसी स्थिति मे हो।
राजीव गाँधी से लेकर मनमोहन सिंह तक सभी प्रधानमंत्री ये खुलेआम स्वीकार करते हैं कि भारत मे भ्रष्टाचार काफी ज्यादा है और खासकर सरकारी महकमों में, फिर भी कोई कुछ भी प्रयास नही करता इसे हटाने के लिए और फिर दोष पूंजीपति को दिया जाता है। दूसरों के घरों को गालियाँ देने से अपना घर नही सुधर जाता। यदि आप चाहते हैं कि गरीब भी अपने आप को इंडिया का हिस्सा महसूस करें तो जितना पैसा आप उनपर हर साल खर्च करने का दावा करते हैं उसका कम से कम 75 % उनतक पहुंचाने का प्रयास कीजिये। वो आपसे चांद कि उम्मीद नही करता पर कम से कम "Basic education", affordable medical facility, elecricity (not free), road कि उम्मीद तो केर ही सकता है ना। ६० साल हो गए और आज भी उसे ये सारी चीजें उपलब्ध नही है, तो क्या उसे ग़ुस्सा होने का भी हक नही है? पर कॉंग्रेस को आज भी जाति और धर्म की ओछी राजनीति करने से फुर्सत मिले तब तो।

हिंदी मे पहली बार

मैं यह कोशिश कर रह हूँ कि ठीक - ठाक हिंदी लिख सकूं। Is it really so easy to mix हिंदी with english? पहली बार हिंदी मे ब्लॉग करना काफी मजेदार अनुभव है।
जो बात मुझे सबसे अच्छी लग रही है वो ये कि यह बेहद आसान है और इसमे काफी तेजी से टाईप किया जा सकता है।
Blogger कि team को बहुत बहुत धन्यबाद। वो सही मे प्रशंसा के काबिल हैं। जो काम हम लोग इतने सालों मे ठीक ढंग से नही कर पाए उसे ब्लॉगर कि team ने इतनी ख़ूबसूरती से कर दिखाया है। मुझे पता है कि इसे बनाने मे कई भारतीय लोगों का भी योगदान रह होगा, फिर भी इंडियन site ने अभी तक ऐसा कर पाने मे सफलता हासिल नही किया है।

Education

"I was born intelligent, but education ruined me"..... I don't know who had told this but i can't agree more. More and more i studied, less confident i became.
What is the aim of education? We believe, that there is something which our ancestors have found which must be retained and there are many things which are undiscovered which can make our life easier and we(human beings) can experience more happiness. We don't want to "reinvent the wheel". So we try to transfer the knowledge/experience we have gathered in thosands or millions of years of evolution. And then we say, this is what we have found..and now it's up to you to find something better, which will help human being and others. The whole aim is to prepare the coming generation for their journey. As long as it happens, i don't have any issue. The problem arises when we don't say to them that NOW "You are free" and you MUST choose your own path. It is said that when "Buddha" was dying, "Anand" asked him that now what will happen to them? Buddha smiled and told "ATTA-DIPO BHAV" means "Be your own light". (This was also the motto of my school).
And i believe that this is where most of the education system fails. They teach us all the knowledge but slowly kill the ability to become a free person, to become our own light. One of the reason might be that it takes such a long time to learn, that we forget that most important ability we need to develop is "able to take decisions". While teaching we almost forget that this is what we are preparing our students for. We want to make them "self-reliable" but what we end up with is totally "dependable". Student's "decision taking ability" is lost. And we always look to someone, wait for someone, to guide us.
Most of the child are so quick in taking decisions. They exactly "know" that this is what he "needs", this is what he "likes" .... then they get educated and loose their ability to decide and they start doing what others are doing, which is more acceptable in the society. And that's why we find so many varities in children's clothes than ours :) .
But, how can we make a person/child able to take his own decisions? What should be changed in the upbringing of the child so that he can be a free person who decides for himself. Yes, he will always need the input, the data on which his decisions will be based but the decision should be his with proper reason and faith. I don't know "How to do it" but would like to find it out.
